Field Description

Interface

Name of the interface connecting to a PIM neighbor.

Neighbor address

IP address of a PIM neighbor.

Uptime

Length of time for which the PIM neighbor has been up, where a
"01:02:11:32:18" value means that the neighbor has been up for 1 week, 2
days, 11 hours, 32 minutes, and 18 seconds.

Remaining lifetime

Remaining lifetime of the PIM neighbor, where a "00:02:45" value means that
the neighbor will time out in 2 minutes and 45 seconds and "never" means that

the PIM neighbor never times out.

Network requirements

As shown in

Figure 340

, receivers receive VOD information through multicast. The receiver groups of

different organizations form stub networks, and one or more receiver hosts exist in each stub network. The

entire PIM domain operates in the dense mode.
Host A and Host C are multicast receivers in two stub networks N1 and N2.
IGMPv2 runs between SecPath A and N1 and between SecPath B and N2.
