IP route policy configuration with NETCONF overview
IP route policy controls how routes or IP subnets are transported from one subsystem to another
subsystem. The IP route policy may perform “permit” or “deny” actions so that matched routes may
be allowed or denied to the target subsystem accordingly. Additionally, an IP route policy may be
used to modify the characteristics of a matched route and IP subnet pair.
Two types of IP route policies are supported; prefix-list and route-map.
This chapter provides procedures for configuring IP prefix lists and route maps. For conceptual
details about IP route policies, refer to the Network OS Administrator’s Guide.

Configuring an IP prefix list
An IP prefix list consists of a set of instances, each of which specifies match conditions. Refer to
the Network OS Administrator’s Guide for a conceptual description of IP prefix lists.
To configure an IP prefix list, perform the following steps.
