Adding additional members to an existing alias

1. Issue the // custom action mechanism that resides in the

urn:brocade.com:mgmt:brocade-nameserver namespace to list the WWNs of devices and
targets available in the Brocade VCS Fabric. The available WWNs appear in the
/ and /
fields in the reply message.

2. Issue the RPC to configure the node in the

urn:brocade.com:mgmt:brocade-zone namespace, and specify the following elements.

a. Under the element, specify the node element.

b. Under the node, specify the node element.

c. Under the node, specify the element and set its value to the name

of the alias to which you want to add a member.

d. Under the node, specify the list node.

e. Under the node, specify the leaf element, and set its

value to a WWN returned in the output of the // action
issued in

step 1

for each additional member you want to add to the alias.

g. Under the element, specify the node element.

h. Under the node. specify the node element and set

its value to “cfg-save”, to save the configuration to nonvolatile memory.

The following example adds two member nodes to an alias.
