Activating a VLAN classifier group with an interface port

To associate a VLAN classifier group with an interface port, perform the following steps.

1. Issue an RPC to configure the node in the

urn:brocade.com:mgmt:brocade-interface namespace.

2. Under the node, specify the interface type element (,

, , or ).

3. Under the , , , or

element, specify the following elements.

a. In the element, specify the port name in [rbridge-id/]slot/port format.

b. In the element, include the delete operation in the opening element tag to

enable the port.

4. Under the , , , or

element, include the node element from the
urn:brocade.cam:mgmt:brocade-vlan namespace.

5. Under the node, include the // hierarchy of node

elements.

6. Under the element, specify the following leaf elements to activate the interface and

associate it with a VLAN interface.

a. In the element, set an integer value to identify the classifier group you want to

associate with the interface.

b. In the element, specify the value “Rule”.

c. In the element, set an integer value that identifies the VLAN.

Group 1 and VLAN 2 are used in the following example. The example assumes that VLAN 2 already
exists.
