Set DS1 Service

Purpose:

Places DS1s in service or out of service. Alarming is turned on when DS1s are set in
service (up).

NOTE:

If a GR-303 switch or drop DS1 is set down, calls will not pass in

either direction.

Syntax:

set ds1 <up|down>

Example:

set ds1 9 up

Set DS1 TermID

Purpose:

Sets the GR-303 line termination IDs used by the switch to set up calls through the
Access Navigator via the EOC and TMC messages. Customers can change the
termination IDs to match different installation configurations. The Access Navigator
provides the following default termination IDs for DS1s 25 to 32, so that termination
IDs 1 and 2 are on different Quad T1 Framer cards for added protection.

DS1 25 termid = 1
DS1 26 termid = 3
DS1 27 termid = 4
DS1 28 termid = 5
DS1 29 termid = 2
DS1 30 termid = 6
DS1 31 termid = 7
DS1 32 termid = 8

NOTE:

To avoid duplication when setting line termination IDs, if another

channel has the same termid number, it will be set to termid 0 (not assigned).
