Test Remote Circuits
NOTE:
The Access Navigator can be pre-provisioned so that it will be ready to provide
services when facilities become available. Therefore, it may be necessary to skip over the
circuit testing steps in this procedure.
NOTE:
The Access Navigator supports the following T1.403 loop tests:
• Responds to ESF bit patterned loop requests (when loopdetect is on)
• Generates ESF bit patterned loop requests
• Generates SF CSU inband loopcodes
NOTE:
The Access Navigator provides line and payload loopback commands for
troubleshooting line problems. See Diagnostics & Troubleshooting on
1. Follow standard practices to test subscriber drop DS1 circuits.
2. Follow standard practices to test DS0 connections, analog channels, and remote interfaces.
NOTE:
Access Bank II Indicators – The following table shows analog card channel
status indications for loop start and ground start subscriber connections. The default DIP
switch settings provide automatic loop start and ground start translation for each channel.
Other DIP switch settings provide various E&M signaling options, which apply to the entire
card.
