Remote Adit 600 FDL Provisioning Overview
This procedure covers remote management and provisioning of Carrier Access’ Adit® 600 TDM Customer
Service Terminals. The Adit 600 TDM provides six service card slots that support up to 18 T1s (DS1s) per
unit, up to 48 voice channels, or any combination of voice and data services.
The Access Navigator / GR-303 + Data Host and GR-303 Host with P-Phone can both serve as a host for
remote Adit 600 terminals, providing GR-303 voice concentration and data grooming. In addition to
providing the user with remote management of the Adit 600, the Access Navigator requires a management
link to the Adit 600 to process ISDN BRI calls through the Adit 600.
There are two management configurations:
l FDL Management – sends CLI commands over the DS1’s ESF Facility Data Link (FDL)
l IP DS0 Management – sends IP management commands over a DS0 channel in the DS1. This IP DS0
management configuration is required to support P-Phone service using an Access Navigator /
GR-303 Host with P-Phone. See Provision Remote Adit 600 via IP DS0 on
page 13-1 .
