NOTE:

This procedure assumes that the existing Controller is in card slot A and that the

redundant Controller will be installed in card slot B. If this is not true, reverse the A and B
designations in the following steps.

1. If not currently logged into the Access Navigator, initiate an RS-232 management session (see Start

RS-232 Management Session on

page 7-6

).

2. Display version of installed Controller card software by entering the following command:

A message similar to the following will appear.

3. Is version of installed Controller card compatible with redundant Controller card to be installed?

If YES, go to next step.

If NO, do NOT continue this procedure. Software is not compatible. See CAUTION above.
