Alarm Clearing

Table 14-3 CLI Minor Alarm Message and Trouble Clearing Procedure

Trouble Clearing Procedure

-48V DC power A/B
Low or Missing

-48V DC power supply to the
controller (A or B) is low or
missing. Under normal condition
power is shared between controller
cards.

Check power cable connection or
battery voltage of the reporting
controller card.

Alarm Input 1/2/3
Detected

Contact closure was detected on
the indicated alarm input (1,2, or
3). Alarm inputs can be wired to
the facility alarm system. Under
normal conditions the facility
alarm system should provide open
contacts to the alarm inputs.
Providing contact closure to an
alarm input results in this alarm.

The alarm is cleared when the
contact is opened.

Controller A/B
Incompatible

Controllers do not support the
same functionality; for example,
one supports EOC/TMC and the
other does not.

Remove the standby controller and
replace with a compatible
controller (see Replace Controller
Card
on

page 16-3

or update

controller with compatible
software (see Update Controller
Card Software
on

page 17-1

).

Controller A/B Removed

Upon removal the controller card
(A or B), the remaining controller
card is now active.

Insert a good controller card into
the empty slot

Controller A/B software
version mismatch

Controller card software versions
do not match.

Update offending controller with
appropriate software (see Update
Controller Card Software
on

page 17-1

).

DS1 n Major Line CV

DS1 is receiving Line Code
Violations at a rate greater than
1.0 x 10-3. This indicates a weak
signal or faulty wiring.

Correct the problem with the
incoming DS1 signal, or use
following command to provision
the DS1 as out of service:
set ds1
