z To change the link type of a port from trunk to hybrid or vice versa, you need to set the link type to
access first.
z You can use the port link-type irf-fabric command to configure fabric ports. For information about
this command, refer to the IRF Fabric module in this manual.
Assigning an Ethernet Port to a VLAN
You can assign an Ethernet port to a VLAN in Ethernet port view or VLAN view.
1) In Ethernet port view
Follow these steps to assign an Ethernet port to one or multiple VLANs:

2) In VLAN view
Follow these steps to assign one or multiple access ports to a VLAN in VLAN view:

Configuring the Default VLAN for a Port
Because an access port can belong to its default VLAN only, there is no need for you to configure the
default VLAN for an access port.
