H3C QSFP+ Transceiver Modules and
DAC/AOC Cables Installation Guide

CAUTION:
Carefully read this guide before you install a QSFP+ transceiver
module or QSFP+ DAC/AOC cable.
Installation preparations
To avoid ESD damage, always wear an ESD wrist strap before you
install or remove a QSFP+ module or QSFP+ DAC/AOC cable, and
make sure it makes good skin contact and is reliably grounded.
Installing/removing a QSFP+ transceiver
module
QSFP+ transceiver modules are available in two types: one type with a
plastic clasp and the other type with a metallic clasp. This installation
guide uses the QSFP+ transceiver module with a metallic clasp as
example.
To install a QSFP+ transceiver module:
1. Remove the optical fiber if any.
2. Pivot the clasp of the module up, as shown by callout 1 in Figure
2 . (Skip this step if the clasp is plastic.)
