4.8.2 Wiring for Noise Control

„

Wiring Example

This SERVOPACK uses high-speed switching elements in the main circuit. It may receive
“switching noise” from these high-speed switching elements if wiring or grounding around
the SERVOPACK is not appropriate. To prevent this, always wire and ground the SERVO-
PACK correctly.

This SERVOPACK has a built-in microprocessor (CPU), so it is necessary to protect it from
external noise as much as possible by installing a noise filter in the appropriate place.

The following is an example of wiring for noise control.

* 1. For ground wires connected to the casing, use a thick wire with a thick-

ness of at least 3.5 mm

2

(0.005 in

) (preferably, plain stitch cooper

wire).

* 2. For wires indicated by

use twisted-pair wires whenever possible.

* 3. When using a noise filter, follow the precautions in „ Using Noise Fil-

ters (page 4-102).
