Opening and Viewing Files
The new Still Store Loader provides the operator with the ability to open
and view a variety of images from a networked drive or the Still Store hard
drive. The operator will be able to browse through these resources before
selecting files to import/export.
Supported Images
The three types of images supported by Still Store Loader are:
• Stills,
• Clips,
• And Image Sequences.
Supported File Formats
The new Still Store Loader works with the following file formats:
• GIF (.gif)
• JPG (.jpg/.jpeg)
• JPEG 2000 (.jp2/.j2k)
• TIF (.tif/.tiff)
• Windows Bitmap (.bmp/.wbmp)
• PNG (.png)
• Kalypso Native Image (.gva/.gvi)
• TARGA (.tga)
• PICT (.pict)
Video Files
The following video formats are supported by Still Store Loader:
• AVI
• QuickTime
Note The Still Store Loader will not perform temporal interpolation on video files.
The frequency to which the application is set is the frequency at which the
video will play back.
Video files will be loaded, converted, and displayed in the Video tab view
(refer to
Figure 308 ).
