DoubleTake Option Operation
Partition Boundary
A vital aspect affecting split M/E operation is the partition boundary. The
M/E Mode (Normal, Prog CF, Split) and any secondary assignment infor-
mation is stored as partition boundary information in the E-MEM system
itself. This makes it possible to change an M/E’s mode with an E-MEM
recall. This partition boundary information is maintained as a separate
component to permit isolation between Primary and Secondary partitions.
See Partition Boundary Assignment
.
Split M/E E-MEM Level Assignments
When an M/E is split, essentially two separate E-MEMs systems are cre-
ated. The primary partition is always associated with its own E-MEM level.
The secondary partition can be associated with E-MEM levels in various
ways. These settings affect how each split M/E’s E-MEM subpanel and
how the Master E-MEM subpanels are used to enact E-MEM control of the
M/Es.
