Mix Through Video Transition
One common application of a Mix Through Video transition is to add a
white flash to simulate a photographer’s flashbulb. To set up a simple
white flash effect do the following:
1.
Go to the User Transition menu by double pressing the User Transition
button (
User 1
,
User 2
, or
User 3
) on the M/E you wish to program. The
User Transition menu will automatically be delegated to that function
on that M/E.
2.
Select the
Edit Matte
button in the Intermediate Video Source data pad to
bring up the M/E Matte menu for the M/E you have selected
3.
In the M/E Matte menu, select the
Matte
button in the Source pane in the
Base Color pane.
4.
Set the Brightness to 100% and the Saturation to 0% with either the soft
knobs or the popup keypad to create a white matte. The matte will
appear in the Base Color box.
5.
Return to the User Transition menu by touching the
Last Menu
button.
6.
In the M/E menu, touch the
Full Screen
button in the Intermediate Video
Appears pane to create a full raster effect.
