Section 3 — System Operation
To Copy an M/E:
1. Press M/E Copy .
2. Press the Mattes delegation button of the source M/E.
3. Press the Mattes delegation button of the destination M/E.
To Swap M/Es:
1. Press M/E Swap .
2. Press the Mattes delegation button of the first M/E to swap.
3. Press the Mattes delegation button of the other M/E to swap.
Undo Button
The Undo button in the Copy/Swap subpanel reverses a copy or swap oper-
ation that has been performed. Only one level of undo is supported. For
example, pressing
Undo a second times does not return the M/Es to their
previous states before the first Undo was performed.
Control Panel Copy Swap Enhancements
With the release of Version 14.0, Keyer and Matte settings can now be
copied and swapped directly on the Main panel. Wipe settings can now be
copied with the Main panel as well. In previous software versions only
entire M/E settings could be copied and swapped from the Main panel.
Individual settings could be copied and swapped using the Copy Swap
menus in earlier software and this capability remains available in the new
software.
Copy Swap Subpanel Buttons
The Main panel Wipe Copy , Keyer Copy , Keyer Swap , Matte Copy , and Matte Swap
buttons operate similarly to their M/E button counterparts above. The Wipe
Swap button is inactive (refer to Figure 173 ).
The Incl Wipes button is used to include the wipe pattern information with
Keyer and Matte copy and swap operations.
Main Panel Copy and Swap Operation
The general procedure consists of pressing the Copy or Swap button of the
desired type, then pressing delegation buttons to specify exactly which set-
tings to Copy or Swap. This may require a series of button presses to fully
