By using a serial port redirector software, an application can access remote serial
devices as if the where directly connected to the PC. Westermo provides a OEM
version Serial/IP
➤ 1 that allows up to 10 virtual serial port to be created. Note:
the OEM version of Serial/IP

requires that telnet protocol extension is enabled to
verify the license. There is also a possibility for an application to directly connect
to the Serial Over IP.
