Type to set the switch baud rate to 115200. The following message displays: 

Setting baud rate to 115200, you must change your terminal baud rate.

Set the terminal baud rate to 115200 and press ENTER.

From the boot menu options screen, type 4 to load new operational code using XMODEM. 
When the XMODEM transfer is complete, the following message and header information will 
display:

[Boot Menu] 4

Ready to receive the file with XMODEM/CRC....

Ready to RECEIVE File xcode.bin in binary mode

Send several Control-X characters to cCKCKCKCKCKCKCK

XMODEM transfer complete, checking CRC....

Verified operational code CRC.

From the boot menu options screen, type 2 to display the baud rate selection screen again.

Type 4 set the switch baud rate to 9600. The following message displays:

Setting baud rate to 9600, you must change your terminal baud rate.

Set the terminal baud rate to 9600 and press ENTER. 

10. From the boot menu options screen, type to start the new operational code. The following 

message displays:

Operational Code Date: Tue Jun 29 08:34:05 2004

Reverting to a Previous Image

In the event that you need to downgrade to a previous version of code, you can do so by 
completing the following steps described in this chapter.

1.

Save your configuration, as described in“

save config

” (page 2‐36).

Note: You will not be able to peform these steps remotely unless you have remote console support.
