Still Store File Transfers
The Zodiak Still Store saves and loads images only to and from the C:User
directory on the Video Processor hard drive located on the Control module
in the Video Frame. This drive is separate from the hard drive used by the
Zodiak Menu panel.
The Zodiak Menu application runs on the Menu panel hard drive. This
application uses standard Windows file management mechanisms to
access and transfer data to and from the Menu panel hard drive, Zip,
CD-ROM, and mapped network drives. However, the Menu application
uses the File Transfer Protocol (FTP) mechanism to interact with the Video
Frame hard disk. (

Only the Still Store Menus can be used to capture stills, record animations,
play stills and clips, and change the directory where these types of files are
accessed. The separate File Ops Show menu, and related Save Load menus,
are used to save and load other system files. Files can be managed in
groups with the Show feature, but Still Store files are not included. Copy
and Paste operations for any type of file are available on all these menus.
File Operations File Copy
Each Still Store still or clip actually consists of three files, one for video/key
data (.gvi extension), another for meta data (.gva extension), and a third
thumbnail image (.bmp extension). The actual file names for a particular
item, e.g. Still 100, are I0000100.gvi, I0000100.gva, and I000100.bmp. The
