Mapping Aux Bus Pairs
When Remote Aux panels control paired Aux buses, each Aux bus in the
pair can be assigned to a different Aux delegation button on a 24- or
32-Crosspoint multi-destination panel. In this case, both the A Channel
(Video) and B Channel (Video or Key) can be controlled by separate Aux
buses. With a single destination Remote Bus panel, only one channel of the
pair can be delegated for control. A and B Channel source selections can
also be made using the Aux Bus menu.
Bus Linking
Bus linking allows a source selection on one bus to change the source on
another bus. Suite configuration settings permit the establishment of a one-
to-one relationship between different buses (a Controlling bus can affect
one other Linked bus). Once this link is established, sources on the Control-
ling bus can be associated with sources on the Linked bus, such that
selecting that source on the Controlling bus causes the Linked bus to select
that associated source.
Multiple sources on a Controlling bus can be associated with a single
Linked bus source, so selecting any of those Controlling bus sources selects
that same Linked bus source. Controlling bus sources can also be given no
association, so selecting that Controlling bus source has no effect on the
Linked bus.
The collection of all the source associations between two buses makes up a
Link Mapping table. This table resides in the Controlling bus and deter-
mines what commands the Controlling bus will send to a Linked bus when
a bus link is active. The Link Mapping table can be copied to another bus,
permitting rapid setup of multiple bus links.
