The
+/- | 0
keypad button, when shifted with the ↑
Bank
button, changes the
sign of the value currently being input on the Master E-MEM keypad. This
button can be pressed either before or after the value has been typed into
the keypad, but before it is completed with
Enter
or
Trim
. Pressing
+/-
by itself
followed by
Enter
negates the current value.
Master E-MEM Enable Buttons
The Master E-MEM subpanel can control the entire Zodiak effects system,
but changing the entire system all at once is rarely needed except when
preparing for a new session. The E-MEM system is divided into levels to
allow directing changes to desired system areas (see Number and Types of E-
MEM Levels
).
The 8 Enable buttons (
M/E 1-2
,
Pgm Pst
,
DSK,
Still Store
,
Misc 1-3)
and the
Auto
Recall
button
are used to select which levels are subject to control (or
enabled) from the Master E-MEM subpanel. As there are more E-MEM
levels than buttons available, some of the Enable buttons can be defined in
E-MEM menus for other functions.
E-MEM Level Assignments
Each Enable button can actually be configured to control several E-MEM
levels or an enable group (see Number and Types of E-MEM Levels
).
Pressing an Enable button will activate, or enable, all the levels that have
been assigned to that enable group. Once enabled, effects for those levels
in that group can be learned and recalled. E-MEM levels are assigned to
Enable buttons using the E-MEM Prefs menu (see E-MEM Prefs Menu
).
Auto Recall Button
The
Auto Recall
button can be used to automatically enable the correct levels
during the recall of an effect, if the effect was learned with
Auto Recall
on. It
can be difficult to remember which levels are involved in a complex effect.
The
Auto Recall
button can be used to make Zodiak system automatically
enable the levels that were used to create an effect. Complex effects can
then be easily recalled without fear of having the wrong levels enabled.
The
Auto Recall
button toggles on and off, and on is its default state.
To have an effect automatically enable its levels when recalled, the effect
must be learned with
Auto Recall
active. Make sure the button is lit before
you learn the register. Note that learning the register stores the current set-
tings in the register, so all the levels must be in the proper state before the
learn.
