DSK Keyer Subpanel

The DSK Keyers subpanel in a 2.5-M/E system (

Figure 79

) has a reduced

set of functions as described below. The Keyers subpanel operates in par-
allel with the DSK subpanel including the On status indicators (see DSK
Subpanel

on page 123

).

Keyer Delegation Button Group

The

DSK 1-3

buttons manually delegate the subpanel to control one keyer in

the DSK. These buttons can also be used for Hold to Preview (see below),
and momentary delegation (see Momentary Delegation

on page 99

).

Hold to Preview

When setting up a key, it is often desirable to see a key that is not on air or
part of the next transition. Holding down a

DSK 1-3

delegation button will

replace that preview output with a representation of that key over the
current background. User preference settings determine whether this
feature is enabled for these buttons, whether other on-air keys are shown,
and how long the preview lasts. The

Show Key

button is also available to

view the actual key control signal. See Show Key Button

on page 122

.

Key Type Button Group

The DSK key functionality is simpler than the M/E keyers and offers
Linear and Luminance Keys.

Linear Key

The

Linear Key

button selects a fixed linear key, which uses clip and gain

values defined in Engineering Setups – Sources. These values cannot be
changed from the panel.
