Macro Menus
change its name. If a macro register is named but no macro steps are
recorded, the name of the empty macro will be deleted the next time the
system is rebooted.
The memory size of each macro, to the nearest kilobyte, is displayed for
each recorded macro. 0 KB is reported for empty macro registers.
Control Pane
The buttons in the Control pane affect the selected macro register, per-
forming the labeled functions.
CAUTION You must first select the desired register and then press the desired macro
function button (Record, Append, Delete Macro). Initiating the recording of
a macro immediately deletes any existing information for the macro register
currently selected on the Macro menu.
The
Record
button initiates recording a macro into the selected macro reg-
ister. Once initiated, the recording of a macro is terminated from the menu
with the
Stop
button. Macros may also be stopped using the Main panel
source selection button for that macro register.
When a macro recording is underway, the two
Insert Delay
buttons become
active, permitting the insertion of time delays in seconds or fields before
the next macro step will be performed during playback.
The
Append
button, when pressed, permits appending more macro steps to
the end of an existing macro. Macro record mode is automatically initiated
when this button is pressed, but the existing macro information will not be
overwritten.
The
Stop
button stops the playback of a playing macro, and also stops the
recording of a macro.
The
Delete Macro
button brings up a prompt message asking if you wish to
delete the currently selected macro register. You can then choose to delete
that register or cancel the operation.
