Section 4 — Menus Overview

Delete Button

The

Delete

button initiates the delete process for the selected item in the

browser. When an item is deleted it is removed from the cache and its files
are also deleted from that folder on the disk. If the item was loaded to an
output, that output image will be blanked, even if on-air. Deleting a shaded
item that was cached from another folder removes it from the scrolling list
and cache, but does not delete the original file residing in the other folder.

Note

The Delete button will blank any image currently being used on that output,
even if it is on-air.

Unload Output Button

Pressing

Unload Output

unloads the item from the delegated Still Store

output.

Note

The Unload Output button will blank any image currently being used on that
output, even if it is on-air.

Start at KF Button

The

Start at KF

button is used to set a trigger for a Still Store animation clip

cue and play command at the current location of an E-MEM effect. After
this button is turned on, the setting needs to be added to the current effect
by inserting a new keyframe or modifying an existing effect keyframe (see

page 437

).

Note

You will need to ensure the clip is recorded and cached before the Start at KF
trigger will work properly in an effect. Running the effect in advance of its use
will cache recorded material for instantaneous playback.

Pressing this button does not make the current clip play, it only allows the
addition of a cue and play trigger command to an effect. Use the play
button on the Still Store menu or the Machine Control subpanel to run an
effect manually.

Folder Browser and Still Store File Ops Menu

Below the scrolling list is a data pad that reports the path of the currently
selected folder (whose items are displayed above), and number of items in
the list is reported on the right (

Figure 195 on page 276

). Touching the path

data pad, or touching the File Ops subcategory button, brings up the Still
Store File Ops menu (

Figure 204 on page 290

).

The

Set as working directory

button on this menu is used to select the folder of

images available for Still Store operations. See Still Store File Ops Menu

on

page 290

for more information.
