One user transition type is currently available – Mix Through Video. A Mix
Through Video transition incorporates a third or intermediate video in the
middle of a mix transition. This type of user transition allows mixing from
one video through a matte or video from the Utility bus to a final video.
To customize a user transition, first select the Mix Effects in which you
wish to define a user transition from the M/E pane on the left of the screen.
The Mix Profile display shows the mix ratio percentage currently selected
for the transition. Each component of the mix, the initial, intermediate, and
final video, is represented by a different color to make the profile of the mix
easy to see. The ratio of initial, intermediate, and final video can be
changed by using the soft knobs on the right of the screen to adjust the per-
centage values or by touching the data entry field and entering a value with
the alphanumeric keypad.

Use the Initial Mix Ends At knob (or select the data pad to bring up a
numeric keypad) to determine at what point the initial video will end and
the intermediate video will start. Use the Final Mix Starts At control to
determine where the intermediate video ends and the final video begins.
The ratio is set by percentage of the video transition, with 100% being the
completed transition and zero being the start.
