Matte – Background Menu
When

), the menu displays two panes for
control of Background 1 and Background 2, including base and wash
colors, wash direction and offset, and wash edge texture attributes. Each
touch pad activates the soft knobs to control those parameters. Values can
be entered with the popup keypad, or with the standard PC keyboard.
The background generators are capable of adding texture to the wash. You
can experiment with the texture controls to discover unique patterns. The
Source in the Texture menu is the numerical seed from which a texture is
generated. There are 256 possible sources.Wash sources for background
mattes come from dedicated, internal simple wipe generators that make a
straight line wipe that can be softened, rotated, and offset. Length adjusts
the number of elements in a texture pattern before it repeats. H-stretch and
V-stretch set how many pixels repeat on each pattern element in the hori-
zontal and vertical directions.
