directory on the Video Processor frame hard disk. Other drives accessible
on the Zodiak network, such as the Frame floppy disk drive, the Menu
hard drive and the CD-ROM also appear.
The current path is displayed at the top of the pane. Touching an icon
selects that item. Touching a selected icon de-selects it (when Multi Select
is off). Double touching a folder or drive icon opens it.
On the upper right, below the top line message area, is a file operations
message pane. The current file activity is reported. Prompt messages also
appear, and error messages are displayed if problems occur.
Below the message area are navigation and action touch buttons. The nav-
igation buttons control what directory is selected for the file display pane.
The
Up
button moves up one hierarchy level.
The
Top
button brings up the top directory that displays the local and
network drives along with information on disk space remaining. The icons
will also indicate if there is a disk present in the floppy and Zip drives (No
Disk). Also displayed is the Frame User Directory, which provides access
to the Zodiak Video Processor frame. Individual files and folders located
on the Zodiak Menu panel Windows desktop are not shown.
The
Open
button opens the selected folder or drive. Files cannot be opened.
The
Sort By Type
and
Sort By Name
buttons orders the entries in the panel by
the chosen category. The
Rev Order
button selects A to Z or Z to A order for
the chosen category.
The
Normal View
button arranges the icons in rows and columns. The
Report View
button arranges the icons in a single column and displays addi-
tional information. These buttons are mutually exclusive.
The
Multi Select
button, when on, allows the selection of multiple files.
When off, only one file can be selected at a time. Turning this button off
when items are selected causes all items to become deselected.
The
Copy
button initiates a Copy/Paste action, as described below.
The
Paste
button completes the Copy/Paste action, as described below.
The
Delete
button deletes the selected file or folder. When you try to delete
a file, a warning message box will appear asking for verification. Drives
cannot be deleted.
The
Create Folder
button creates a new folder in the selected directory. A text
entry popup is used to enter the name of the new folder.
The
Rename
button renames the selected file. A text entry popup is used to
enter the name of the file.
