selected a Dissimilar Levels or Dissimilar Sublevels message is posted. In this
case, path control adjustments will apply to all the sublevels within the
selected levels, and/or all the groups within the selected sublevels.
The actual path controls are located adjacent to the soft knobs on the right.
These path controls may be delegated to a single part of the Zodiak system
by selecting only one item in each delegation pane. For example, in
Figure 174 the Keyer Wipe of M/E 1 Keyer 1 is selected and has a Curve
path. Multiple item delegation is also available.
Graphic symbols representing the Linear, S-Linear, Curve, and Hold path
types appear on the Path control buttons. The selected path type symbol
also appears next to each group delegation button. This symbol also
appears next to each level or sublevel delegation button when all the sub-
levels and/or groups for that item have the same path type (
Figure 174 ).

An informational graphic is displayed next to the scroll bars in the delega-
tion panes indicating the on/off state of every button in that scrolling list.
The location of the indicator corresponds to the relative location of that
button in the list. This makes is easy to see how many sublevels or groups
have been delegated even if the selected buttons are scrolled off the screen.
When an individual delegation button in a pane is selected, it gets colored
gold. Only one button in each pane can have this state, though there may
be multiple delegations active in that pane. The path type and parameters
