GPI Out Triggers Menu
The GPI Out Triggers menu is used to specify the sending of GPI type com-
mands from the Video Processor frame to external devices. The Zodiak
system supports a total of 8 GPI outputs (1-8). The menu is reached by
touching
PBus & GPI , GPI Out ( Figure 161 ).

In the Eng Setups, Ports & Devices menu, each GPI trigger can be given a
descriptive name that appears on this menu. The actual action performed
when a GPI trigger is fired is determined by how it is wired to the external
device.
GPI triggers by default are associated with E-MEM level group Misc 1 .
Select the desired trigger(s) in the menu by touching their buttons, then
Learn an E-MEM register with
Misc 1 enabled. The selected GPI triggers
will fire when that E-MEM register is recalled. You can associate GPI trig-
gers with any E-MEM level group desired, not just
Misc 1 (see E-MEM Prefs
