Zodiak — User Manual

Section 4 — Menus Overview

Macro attachments are broken by entering one of the attach modes (it
doesn’t matter which one) and, without a macro register selected, pressing
the panel buttons with attachments you wish to remove. This attaches no
macro to that button. If a macro register has already been selected,
touching that macro register button de-selects it, and then button attach-
ments can be broken.

It is possible to attach up to three macros to a single button (pre, replace,
and post). It is not guaranteed that the last command in the pre-macro will
be executed before the original function is executed. However, it is guaran-
teed that all three attachment macros will be executed in the right order
(pre, replace, post) with no overlapping.

The

Show Attach

button activates a mode that low tally blinks panel buttons

that have macros attached. The

Show Attach

button jewel lights when the

mode is active. Touching and releasing the button activates Attach mode
which remains on until the button is touched a second time.

The

Attach Enable

button enables and disables all macro button attachments

globally. When on, the

Attach Enable

button jewel lights, and then pressing

panel buttons with macros attached will run those macros. When off,
macros are only played back by activating macro mode and pressing the
macro register buttons, or with the Macro menu. The

Attach Enable

button is

active whether or not macro mode is active, so it can be instantly turned on
and off at any time.

Macro Attachments Pane

The Macro Attachments pane displays all possible buttons on the selected
section either

M/E 1

,

M/E 2

,

M/E 3

, or

Misc

. If any of the buttons have macros

attached the information on the macro will display in the appropriate
column either Pre, Replace, or Post.

Note

The display will show buttons for the maximum used by a Zodiak system.
This means that if you have a 2.5 ME system, the button set will still display
all the buttons for a 3 ME system.

When the

Show Attach

button is lit all buttons on the panel that have macros

will blink. Pressing a blinking panel button will cause the Macro Attach-
ments pane to scroll to and display that button’s macro information.

Unattach Macros

The

Remove all Attachments

button is used to clear all the current macro

attachments. A popup pane appears asking you to confirm the action.
