Logical Source Selection Pane
The Source Patch menu has a scrolling list of Logical sources displayed in
ascending Logical ID order. The Logical Source soft knob can be used to
scroll up and down the list and select a different Logical source. Touching
the soft knob label data pad brings up a numeric keypad that can be used
to scroll the list to the entered Logical ID number and select that source.
One Logical source is always selected, though it may be scrolled out of
view.
Logical Source Name Definition
Each logical source has a Logical Name and a Logical Nickname data pad
associated with it. Touching one of these data pads brings up an alphanu-
meric keypad used to enter that name.

Source Patching
The Engineering Source column on the right displays the current associa-
tion of Engineering Source to Logical source. With a Logical source
selected on the left, the Engineering source for that Logical source can be
changed in real-time with the Engineering source soft knob (
Figure 109 ). If
that Logical source is visible on a monitor you can dial in the desired Engi-
neering source by eye. Touching the soft knob label data pad brings up a
numeric keypad that can be used to select an Engineering source by its
Engineering ID number.
