2.5-M/E and 3-M/E Main Panel

For example, it is possible to delegate the Joystick to M/E 2 Key 1 and Key
2 where Key 1 has a Transform Engine and Key 2 does not. In this case, the
Key 1 button will be high tally but the Key 2 button will low tally.

Keyer Delegation Buttons

The four delegation buttons select a specific component of the delegated
M/E to be controlled by the

Joystick

from

Key 1–4

.

Pressing a single button

selects that button and deselects all others in that group. Pressing down
more than one delegation button at the same time delegates the Joystick to
control multiple objects simultaneously.

M/E Delegation Buttons

The

M/E 1-3

and

Global

buttons are used to delegate the

Joystick

to a particular

M/E bank or to the Global channel. This level of delegation is required for
all

Joystick

operations. Only one bank can be selected at a time (the buttons

are an interlocked group). The button of the current delegation goes high
tally.

Note

The Joystick is not used in the PGM/PST in a 2.5-M/E system.

Additional Delegation Buttons

Further Joystick delegation for a keyer or DPM channel is done with the

Int

DPM

,

Key Wipe

,

C1 Wipe and

and

C2

Wipe

buttons. The buttons in this group are

only active when M/E and Keyer delegation has been selected.

The

Int DPM

button delegates the key source (Transform Engine) for the

selected keyer.

The

Key Wipe

button delegates the simple wipe generator for the keyer.

The

C1 Wipe

button delegates the C1 complex wipe generator for the keyer.

The

C2 Wipe

button delegates the C2 complex wipe generator for the keyer.

Image and Pattern Modification Button Group

The top group of delegation buttons specify how the image or pattern is to
be modified. Not all selections in the group are valid for all delegations in
the above groups.

The

Locate 3D

button moves the image in 3D space.

The

Locate Size

button retains X and Y location but replaces Z location with

image size.

The

Spin

button permits X, Y, and Z spin of the image.

The

Src Space

button selects between Source and Target space delegation.
