Remote Aux Panels
Source Select Modifier Buttons
Hold Button
The Hold button on each panel is alternate action, either on or off. When on
(high tally), the Hold button prevents an E-MEM recall from the Main panel
from changing the source selection on the bus (a bus hold).
Shift/Unshift Buttons
The Unshift and Shift source select modifier buttons are used to select the
shifted or unshifted buttons on the panel.
Holding down a Remote Aux panel Unshift button while making a source
selection always selects the unshifted sources for the Aux bus. Likewise,
holding down the
Shift button always causes selection of the shifted source.
Key Split Button
When an Aux bus controlled by a Remote Aux panel is part of an Aux pair,
the
Key Split source select modifier button can be used to select a different B
Channel source (video or key as defined in the Aux Bus menu). When Key
Split is held down, the Aux bus lights the currently selected B Channel
source button. Selecting a different source changes only the B Channel
source (a key split), and leaves the A Channel source unchanged.
To cancel a key split, note the B Channel source when Key Split is not held
down, then hold down Key Split and select that same source for use as the B
Channel source.

Installation and Service Manual.
Near/Far Side Buttons
The Near Side and Far Side buttons are used to select only the near (visible)
side, or the far (not visible side) of a digitally manipulated source. These
buttons are active if a Transform Engine or external DPM is associated with
the bus (aux buses or buses with Effects Send active). When a
Near Side or
Far Side button is not held down, a change in source selection is applied to
both the near and far sides. This functionality is currently not active in the
Zodiak.
