Use case 7: Core and Edge RSTP
RSTP will run in the PBB core for loop detection and avoidance in the B-VLAN. All ASs and CSs in
B-VLAN will participate in the same RSTP instance. One CS will act as root for the core RSTP
instance. All AS will have a different RSTP instance on the ES facing side and one of the AS will be
acting as a ROOT.
The following deployment scenario is a case where RSTP is deployed for a B-VLAN and S-VLAN in a
PBB network. In CS-1 and CS-2 a regular VLAN 100 is configured as a B-VLAN. AS-1 and AS-2 has a
VPLS VLAN 100 which acts as a B-VLAN. VPLS VLAN 200 on ES-1 and ES-2 which acts as an
S-VLAN for the PB network. CS-1 is configured as the ROOT Bridge for core RSTP. AS-1 and AS-4 are
the ROOT bridges for RSTP on the ES facing side.
The following discussion describes how to configure the nodes in the topology.

NOTE
The configuration of AS-4 is similar to the configuration of AS-1.
Tag type configuration
Configure aport tag type for S-VLAN to 0x9100.
