In the Record Position field enter the position adjustment, in number of
steps, when beginning to record. Zero (0) = no adjustment.

Select the audio channels to be monitored.

Select the desired Setup (black reference) level.

Note

On SD devices, 0 IRE is commonly used in Japan for the Setup Level and 7.5
IRE is commonly used in North America.

Select the Use cueup command if DV deck supports it option if the DV
deck supports the cueup feature.

button to close the output device settings dialog.

Importer/Exporter Settings

The Importer/Exporter settings determine how source material is
imported from and exported to media such as CDs and DVDs and external
devices such as cameras, removable media and storage area networks
(SANs). Some settings are format based and others are device based.

The following Importer/Exporter settings may be defined:

AVCHD

Audio CD/DVD

Still Image

MPEG

Removable Media

To define importer/exporter settings, select Settings>System Set-
tings>Importer/Exporter>{setting category} from the Preview window
menu bar (click the ”+” to expand the Importer/Exporter section if it is col-
lapsed).

AVCHD Settings

These settings determine if seek files are created when AVCHD files are
imported into EDIUS NEO (see

Figure 91

).
