Background Jobs
Note If the selected job is running, selecting Delete from the menu will display the
dialog illustrated in
Figure 170 .

Pause Background Jobs During Playback
Selecting this option will pause background job processing during play-
back of clips on the Timeline. This may be necessary if insufficient CPU
resources are available to ensure smooth playback of clips (particularly
high-resolution clips) while simultaneously processing background jobs.
If you attempt to exit EDIUS NEO while user-initiated background jobs are
running, the dialog shown in
Figure 171 appears.

Select one of the options in the dialog:
• Show unfinished Job Info... - opens the Background Job dialog and
shows the background job list.
• Quit Unfinished Jobs - Delete all unfinished jobs (including the running
job) and exit EDIUS NEO.
• Cancel - return to EDIUS NEO without exiting and continue back-
ground job processing.
