Backup/Auto Save
Backup/Auto Save
Backup and Auto Save files can be saved automatically to both a default
project folder location and a second specified drive location simultane-
ously. If the EDIUS NEO data storage hard drive crashes, files may be
recovered from the secondary location.
See Backup/Auto Save Configuration
for information regarding
the configuration of backup and auto save features.
Backup Files
Backup files are only used in unusual circumstances such as project files
becoming corrupted or EDIUS NEO crashing while editing. They are not
used in normal operations.
A backup file is automatically created each time a project is saved. From 1
to 100 backup files may exist per project. If the specified maximum number
of backup files already exists in a backup folder, the oldest file is deleted
when a new backup file is created.
Backup files are created automatically in the following manner:
Location
{Project Name}/{Project}/Backup
File Name
{Project name}-YYMMDD-HHMMSS.ezp
Note
Backup files are read-only and cannot be overwritten.
To recover a project from a backup file, copy the file to the original project
folder and import the file.
Auto Save Files
If the auto save is enabled, project files are automatically saved at the spec-
ified interval. For information on enabling auto save see Backup/Auto Save
Configuration
From 1 to 100 auto save files may exist per project. If the specified
maximum number of auto save files already exists in an Auto Save folder,
the oldest file is deleted when a new auto save file is created.
When a project is saved, all auto save files may remain in the auto save
directories or be automatically deleted.
