Clicking the edge of a clip (beginning of first clip in a track or end of last
clip in a track) without also pressing a split trimming key combination
selects all clip edit points in a clip group on the clicked edge.
Trimming Mode Edit Points
•
Multiple edit points can be selected across multiple tracks in Trimming
Mode by one of the following methods:
•
Select multiple tracks before selecting edit points.
•
Hold down the [
ALT
] or [
CTRL
] key while clicking on the edge of a
clip.
Normal Mode Operations
End-of-clip trimming operation can be performed in Normal Mode
without selecting a special Trimming Mode.
Trimming at Ends of Clips
These trimming actions are described with ripple mode disabled. By
default, ripple mode is enabled. See Ripple Mode
All trimming actions can be monitored in the Preview window.
To trim clips at their end points, do the following:
1.
Click at the beginning (In point) or the end (Out point) of a clip.
Trim handles appear at the selected edit point as illustrated in
and trimming is enabled. The yellow trim handle is the currently-selected
trim handle.
Note
The examples below show clips in VA tracks which have both a video and an
audio component.
