Shape Mask Filter
Control Point
A point from which the direction of a Bezier curve that extends from a
vertex is controlled.
Segment
A portion of a shape path that is defined by a body with a vertex at either
end and any control points between these vertices.
Shape Editing Tools
After clicking the
Draw Path
button in the Mask dialog, use the editing func-
tion explained in this section to create and edit vertices and control points
along free shape paths (
shows the image that will be used for
these examples).
Figure 634. Bell Tower Image
Since a shape will be created that matches the upper portion of the bell
tower, the zoom and pan tools are used to enlarge and display only that
portion of the image in order to provide finer detail to the free-form shape
creation process. See Zoom and Pan Tools
for more information
on using these tools.
Create a Vertex
Clicking the mouse creates a vertex. Move cursor to next point and click to
create another vertex and complete the segment.
