through the Player window. The Player can control external devices or play
a clip from the Asset Bin.
Recorder
The Recorder window (on the right) is used to preview edits and effects
applied to clips on the EDIUS NEO Timeline.
Figure 37 shows a dual-mode display using the single-monitor default
layout. In this example, only the left half of the upper portion of the screen
is used for the Player and Recorder preview windows and they are auto-
matically resized.
The right half of the screen is occupied by the Asset Bin, Effects Palette,
Sequence Marker Palette and Source Browser.

Single Mode
To select Single Mode, select View>Single Mode from the Preview Window
menu bar.
In single mode, only one preview window is visible. The preview display
is switched between the Player and the Recorder as necessary to manage
the EDIUS NEO workflow. When in single mode, preview toggle buttons
appear in the upper right corner of the Preview window as shown in
Figure 38 .
