System Application Settings
Playback Settings
Playback settings determine behavior during project playback operations.
From the System Settings dialog (see
), select Playback from the
Application section (click the “+” to expand the section if it is collapsed).
The following settings affect playback operations:

After making changes to any of the items in the Playback Settings dialog,
click the Apply button to apply the changes and make them active. Several
changes may be made before clicking the Apply button.
Stop Playback at Frame Drop
If this option is selected, playback stops when processing cannot keep up
with the playback speed which results in dropped frames. Default = Not
selected.
Playback Buffer Size
The setting designates the amount of memory to be used for the playback
buffer. Choices are 128 MB, 256 MB, 384 MB and 512MB. A larger playback
buffer results in smoother playback. Default = 128 MB
Buffered Frames Before Playback
This setting designates the number of frames to be buffered when playback
is initiated. Increasing the number of buffered frames increases the likeli-
hood that processing can keep up with the playback speed. Choices are 5,
10 and 15. Default = 5.
Capture Settings
Capture settings determine how EDIUS NEO handles source material as it
is captured from external sources.
From the System Settings dialog, select Playback from the Application
section (click the “+” to expand the Application section if it is collapsed).
