Restore Offline Clips
Restore and Transfer Options
Clicking on the list button [ ] in the Restoration Method column of the
Restore and Transfer Clips dialog produces a list of the following available
restoration methods:
Note Not all methods are available for all clips.
Relink (Select File)...
Opens an Open dialog in which you can browse for the file to be relinked.
Relink (Select Folder)...
Displays a Browse for Folder dialog. Search for the source file of the same
name as the offline clip in the specified folder and select the file to relink.
Do Nothing
Do not attempt to restore or transfer the offline clip.
Note If the Link only files that match exactly option is selected, only files that match
the original duration, timecode, etc. will be restored. Deselect this option if
the file parameters do not need to match exactly.
Other Restoration Methods
The Restore and transfer clip method selection dialog illustrated in
Figure 212 appears when File >Restore Offline Clip... is selected from the
Preview window menu bar or by clicking the list button [ ] of the Open
Project button and selecting Restore Offline Clip... from the menu.
Depending upon the clip type, composition and origin, some or all of the
restoration methods shown in
Figure 212 will be available.
Select the appropriate method as explained below.
