Importing and Capturing
Importing is the process of acquiring existing clips and stills stored on an
external storage device attached to the EDIUS NEO computer and making
them available in the Asset Bin for use in EDIUS NEO projects.
Sequences created in one EDIUS NEO project may also be imported into
another EDIUS NEO project.
Projects and playlists created in other editing application may also be
imported into EDIUS NEO
Capturing is the process of acquiring external video and audio material by
playing or recording it from tapes, memory cards, web cameras, etc. for use
in EDIUS NEO projects.
When capturing material for use in EDIUS NEO, you may capture the
entire source or just portions of the source that are defined in a batch
capture list. These captured clips are stored in the Asset Bin. Material may
also be captured directly to the Timeline for immediate use.
Supported File Types
Source material of many different file types may be imported or captured
to the Asset Bin. The Asset Bin can contain clips or stills of any of the fol-
lowing file types and extensions:
•

files to AVI using the Canopus HQ Codec if you prefer to work with AVI files.
