Section 3 — Importing and Capturing
Batch Capture
Batch capturing is the process of capturing multiple clips in one operation.
These can be selected clips from different sources or multiple clips from the
same source. Batch capturing works from a batch capture list that contains
the source name and the desired In and Out points of the clips to be cap-
tured.
To create a batch capture list, perform the following actions:

Click the list button ( ) of the
Add to Batch Capture List
button and select
Batch Capture from the menu. See

Note
Pressing [F10] on the keyboard also starts batch capture. You may also
select Capture>Batch Capture from the Preview window menu bar.

The Batch Capture dialog opens.
Batch capture supports the In/Out and In/Dur capture modes. For more
information, see Capture Modes
2.
Playback the source to be captured and set the In/Out points and
Duration as desired. You may also directly enter In/Out or In/Dur
timecodes in the Player window.
Note
If an Out point is set at a timecode before the In point, the In, Out and Dura-
tion timecodes in the Player window are colored in red text. The range in red
text will not be captured. See

Click the
Add to Batch Capture
button (click the button icon not the list
button) to add the selected clip to the batch capture list and to capture
both video and audio.
