4. Fill in the fields as follows:
In this field Do this
Expression Create an expression. At runtime, the numeric
result of this expression is displayed in the
Numeric Display field. For details about
expressions, see Chapter 14, Creating expressions.
Field Length Type a value to specify the maximum number
of characters that will be displayed in this field.
Be sure the field is long enough to
accommodate the result of the expression.
Format Select a number base for the value.
Decimal
Places Type the number of places you want after the
decimal point. This number must be at least
one less than the field width.
Overflow This field is available only if Floating Point is
selected in the Format field. Use this field to
specify how you want the floating point value
displayed if it is too long for the field. The
value can be shown as an exponent, rounded
up to fit in the field, or completely replaced by
asterisks.
