logging

Activity log records information about various types of system activity.
The information is stored in dBASE

®

IV (.dbf) format and can be:

viewed with the Activity Log Viewer

archived for future processing or analysis

used with third–party software, such as Microsoft

®

Excel, Crystal

Reports

®

, and Microsoft Visual FoxPro

®

, for display or analysis

exported to ODBC format while online

Which activities can be logged?

You can log some or all of the following types of system activity:

command and macro usage

operator

comments

system messages and errors

errors from the communication network

tag read and write activity

You can also log custom messages generated by VBA programs.

If you use the electronic signature button, the activity log records the
name and comment of the operator who initiates the button’s action,
and, if required, the name and comment of the supervisor who
