5.6 Patch Panel Detection
The patch panel detection is used to enable a craft person to check whether the correct cable
is plugged to the adequate RTM. There are three different patch panels (DS3, DS1, and E1T1)
which implement the same connector to the RTM. Each patch panel provides three cables to
be connected to the RTM.
The IPMI firmware implements a PP logic for every connector instance, which evaluates the
mezzanine module type on one hand and the voltage level provided by the patch panel on the
other hand:
