3.2.1 LEDs and Interfaces
The blade’s face plate provides the following interfaces and LEDs:
 Out of Service, In Service, Attention, and Hot Swap LEDs (IPMC control)
 Ethernet Interfaces
 BITS/SSU (E1/T1) Interface
 E1/T1 interfaces (VHDCI)
 DS3 interfaces (VHDCI)
 OC3/OC12 interfaces (SFP)
The meaning of these LEDs is described in the following table.
Table 3-1 Faceplate LEDs
LED Color Function
Blue LED Blue This LED is marked with "H/S" and serves as an
indication of whether or not the ARTM-831X can be
extracted.
LED1 Red, Amber This LED is marked with "OOS" and serves as an out-of-
service indicator. It shall be capable of being red and
amber.
LED2 Red, Green, Blue This LED is marked with "IS" and serves as status
indicator. It shall be capable of being red, amber and
green.
LED3 Amber This LED is marked with "ATTN" and serves as status
indicator
LED4 Blue This LED is marked with "LOCATE" and serves as
connection locate indicator
LED5 Blue This LED is marked with "LOCATE" and serves as
connection locate indicator
LED6 Blue This LED is marked with "LOCATE" and serves as
connection locate indicator
