Blade Element Firmware
This object exists in OSM to display the many firmware attributes that exist for Integrity NonStop
NS14000 series and NS16000 series
.
For these types of systems, the Blade Element firmware is updated through a guided procedure
launched by the
action located under the
object. For duplex or
triplex processor complexes, it is recommended that you update the Shadow image for all blade
elements in the complex at the same time, then reset the blade elements one at a time (using the
Reset Blade Element action under the Blade Elements object).
NOTE:
For other Integrity NonStop servers, the firmware attributes valid for those systems are
displayed under the
Physical attributes instead, and the update procedure is launched
from a Firmware Update action located under the Blade Element object (rather than under the
Blade Complex object).
Attributes
Blade Element Firmware
NSBE represents NonStop Blade Element Firmware other than
. This
attribute indicates whether the current Shadow or Running firmware image
will be used following the next Reset action, as specified by using the
to Use Shadow or Running Firmware Image After Reset
actions.
NSBE Image After Next Reset
This attribute always displays a value of Running, because the
Shadow Firmware Image After Reset
action immediately causes the Blade
Element to start running BMC firmware from the Shadow image. The Shadow
image at the time the action is performed immediately becomes the Running
image.
