NOTE:
Generally, new hardware is detected dynamically once it is cabled. This action is only
required for recognizing components connected on a port that had been disabled.
Enable/Disable Automation of Data Collection
Use to enable or disable automatic collection of data for failed system resources. The current state
for the system is indicated by the
Automatic Data Collection State
attribute. If enabled, when a
hardware failure occurs, data is saved to the location specified by the
action. The
Set Days to Persist for Diagnostic Data
action determines how long the files are retained
on the system before being deleted.
Enable/Disable Blade Power Regulator Management
This action applies to HP Integrity NonStop BladeSystem NB54000c and NB56000c only. The
action enables or disables HP Power Regulator management on all processor blades in the system.
Upon enabling, processor performance may immediately change in response to Power Regulator
mode stored in each blade. Use HP Insight Control power management within HP SIM to view
and alter the mode for each processor blade in the system.
Two attributes under the Logical attributes heading on the System object, Power Regulator
Management Supported and Power Regulator Management Status, indicate whether this feature
is available and enabled.
Insight Control power management is an HP SIM plug-in that can be installed after HP SIM is
installed on the system console. Both HP SIM and Insight Control power management can be
installed from HP Insight Control for NonStop DVD. For more information on requirements and
installation instructions, see the NonStop System Console Installer Guide. For more information on
using Insight Control power management to alter the Power Regulator mode for processor blades,
see the HP SIM for NonStop Manageability.
Extend Problem Incident Report Suppression Time
Extends the duration of suppression by a specified amount of time (in minutes). This action fails if
the suppression was not enabled at that time.
Get SMARTSSD Wear Status Summary
Launches a guided procedure that allows you to view and save a summary of the SMARTSSD wear
status for any or all Solid State SAS disk drives on the system. It displays the same SMARTSSD
Wear Gauge values for each drive as the
action that is available
on individual Solid State SAS disk drives, but this guided procedure allows you to display the
information for multiple (any or all selected) drives in a single interface and to save the resulting
data, if desired, in .csv (or comma delimited) format for use in Microsoft Excel.
Initialize Default Firmware File Names
Starting with H06.12, there are multiple versions of blade firmware on the SUT. The purpose of
this action is to identify the proper blade firmware required for your Integrity NonStop server
configuration while eliminating unnecessary firmware updates for servers that don't need the very
latest blade firmware. This action, displayed only for Integrity NonStop NS14000 series and
NS16000 series servers, must be performed in the following scenarios to ensure that OSM displays
the proper blade firmware version information for your NonStop server:
•
If you have installed a new Integrity NonStop NS16200 or NS14200 server. While new
NS16200 and NS14200 systems are shipped with the proper firmware, failure to perform
the action results in OSM reporting this running firmware as Up-rev. Once you perform this
